Approximately forty-two years ago, the combined members of The Dream Syndicate and R.E.M. performed an impromptu set at the Uptown Lounge under the name Adolf and the Casuals featuring Raul. It was a pretty chaotic night with some of the group members apparently being overserved. In the course of the evening, a medley of “Ghostbusters” and “Gloria” was attempted. Twice. In honor of that legendary night, Steve Wynn and I gave the two songs a valiant thrashing at our show last night at the Rialto Theatre in Athens. – Peter
