AUSTIN CITY LIMITS TO AIR ENCORE OF R.E.M. PERFORMANCE ON 11-27

On March 13, 2008, R.E.M. made their first-ever appearance on the venerable and much-beloved PBS program, Austin City Limits, which currently holds the distinction of being the longest-running show on television. The band’s performance featured a number of rockers from their fourteenth studio album, Accelerate, released later that month, and also mixed in songs from New Adventures, Automatic For The People, and Out of Time. An expanded version of the ACL performance, including three songs not aired on ACL, was recently released as a DVD titled R.E.M. Live From Austin, TX on New West Records.

On March 27th, PBS will re-broadcast R.E.M.’s one-hour concert. Please be sure to check local listings for the time in your area.
