Athens was treated to an amazing show last Friday at the Foundry where the Nuçi’s Space benefit event, “Athens Uncovered: Revival,” featured performances by our very own Bill Berry, Randall Bramblett, members of Widespread Panic, Drive-By Truckers, Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven. The evening, which included 24 songs, was emceed by local musician, all around great guy and owner of Hendershot’s, Seth Hendershot, and culminated with performances of “Everybody Hurts” and “(Don’t Go Back to) Rockville.”
For those who don’t know, Nuçi’s Space is a nonprofit organization located in Athens with the mission to prevent suicide. With a focus on musicians, Nuçi’s Space advocates for and helps to alleviate the suffering for those living with a brain illness and fights to end the stigma of mental illness.
