The band is gearing up to roll out the Collapse Into Now Film Project, a selection of films accompanying each song on the the new record, directed by notable artists and filmmakers and personally curated by Michael. The list of directors includes Oscar-nominated actor James Franco, filmmaker, photographer, and conceptual artist Sam Taylor-Wood, and Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles (please see a full list of directors below). Michael spoke to NME.com about the project in this article.
Thus far, three films have had their debut, including Dominic DeJoseph’s Mine Smell Like Honey, Sam Taylor-Wood’s Uberlin, and Tom Gilroy’s It Happened Today (click on the links below to view each film).
