Hidden Gem Uncovered!
Here’s a photo from September 30, 1983, taken by our old friend and early R.E.M. photographer Laura Levine which she says she never saw until earlier this week: “I found it on one of my contact sheets of R.E.M. rehearsing at Stitchcraft, Inc, a former sewing factory in Athens, where they played a secret show that night. At the same time, I filmed them performing some special songs for our Super-8 underground film, “Just Like A Movie.”
