Meaningful memories from Switzerland 🇨🇭 — we have a few, this one from July 7, 1995:
This was the big day for the band to return to Switzerland, where Bill Berry had suffered the very serious brain injury only four months before, at the March 1 concert in Lausanne. As has been well documented elsewhere, the tour shut down immediately, and there was complete uncertainty, despite the successful surgery by two of the best brain surgeons in the world based in Geneva: Nicolas de Tribolet and Luca Regli. The two brilliant doctors and their families were honored guests of the band that night in Zürich— Katherine Downs snapped this photograph of the guys and the doctors as they walked to the stage and a roaring reception from the crowd.
