Mike will be spinning some vinyl and talking about the strong relationship between early R.E.M. and WUOG, the University of Georgia radio station, today at 3pm.
WUOG is noted for being the first radio station to broadcast the band. R.E.M. played live in the lobby back in the day, and Bill Berry was once a DJ at the station. WUOG 90.5fm is moving to a new location in Tate Student Center in January after 36 years in Memorial Hall.
