Mary Ellen Mark had such a brilliant eye and original voice–we have lost one of our very greatest. She was fearless in her choices, politically engaged, complex, funny, stunningly intelligent and a passionate artist. Her memory will live on through her extraordinary body of work. ~Michael Stipe
