R.E.M will begin their recording sessions with producer Jacknife Lee in Vancouver, BC, next week. The band and Lee will spend a few weeks in Canada and will then set up shop in Ireland, where they will continue to record as well as perform a five-night stand of working rehearsals in late June and early July. As reported here earlier, the five sold-out shows will take place at Dublin’s famed Olympia Theatre on June 30th, July 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
