MICHAEL CREATES LABEL ARTWORK FOR RECLAIM THE COAST WINE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GULF COAST

Reclaim The Coast Benefit Concerts – Friday July 23rd, Sunday July 25th & Friday July 30th.

On Friday, City Winery will welcome the legendary folk singer and environmental activist Pete Seeger to kick off three nights of fundraising efforts for the Gulf Coast. Mr. Seeger who has penned a number of American classics will perform a new song he wrote regarding this recent disaster, titled “Drill Baby Drill…Spill Baby Spill.”

With over 20 different artists confirmed for the series of three concerts, Reclaim the Coast is hoping to raise $50,000. With a disaster of this magnitude affecting the Gulf of Mexico, individuals, families and whole communities are bearing the immediate costs of the spill. Your attendance at one or all of these benefit concerts will ensure that much needed aid reaches those in need of immediate assistance.

100% of all ticket proceeds will be donated to the Gulf Restoration Network and Global Green USA, both non-profits working tirelessly to assist communities from New Orleans to the Florida Panhandle. With over 40 years experience between them, both organizations are able to deliver skilled and motivated volunteers to assist with cleanup efforts, health care & welfare outreach and relocation assistance.

City Winery will also be selling a special Reclaim the Coast wine, whose label artwork was donated by Michael Stipe. $20 from every bottle sold will be donated to the Gulf Restoration Network. The wine is available for pickup from the winery and can be purchased HERE.
