A star-studded cast of musicians and artists including Gogol Bordello, Jackson Browne, Laurie Anderson, Patti Smith, Michael Stipe, Orville Peck, Arooj Aftab, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Allison Russell, Tune-Yards, Angélique Kidjo, the Philip Glass Ensemble, Tenzin Choegyal, and the Scorchio Quartet turned out for last night’s 38th Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall. Michael read Max Ehrmann poem “Desiderata” (accompanied by Laurie Anderson), sang David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold the World,” and “No Time for Love Like Now” and also joined the entire cast for the finale: a performance of Patti Smith’s “People Have The Power.”
