Mike will be the guest star of the Rome Chamber Music Festival at Palazzo Barberini in the heart of ancient Rome on June 30th. Surrounded by an incomparable baroque setting, R.E.M.’s “secret weapon” will perform with long-time friend & classical violinist Robert McDuffie. The pair will perform the Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and String Quintet, a unique combination of rock and chamber music. The piece will feature a variation based on the theme of one of R.E.M.’s most beloved songs, “Nightswimming”
