Earlier this week, on Monday, May 16th, Mike was presented with an honorary Doctorate of Humanities degree from Mercer University in Macon, GA (Mike’s hometown) at the university’s commencement ceremony. The degree was presented to Mike by President William Underwood after Mike and his good friend, Macon native, Bobby McDuffie, performed “Losing My Religion” for roughly 800 graduating students. Mike sang lead vocals and played electric guitar and was accompanied by Bobby on violin.
