Our good friend Lance Bangs–director of the video for “How The West Was Won and Where It Got Us,” and co-directer of the video for “New Test Leper”– has got a new documentary film called the Lazarus Effect premiering on HBO tonight. The film is about the transformative effects of low-cost anti-retroviral drugs in the fight against AIDS in Africa. Over the weekend, Lance (who also directed the tour films for Monster) spoke with NPR’s Liane Hansen about the basis for the new documentary. You can listen to the interview at NPR and also find more information about the film at HBO.
