Peter and Alejandro Escovedo brought their tour through Athens last night, and in the words of Drive By Truckers main man Patterson Hood it was “Truly an evening for the Ages.” Peter kicked off the night with a blistering set culled from his two solo records and then joined Scott McCaughey, Bill Rieflin, Kurt Bloch, and Susan Voelz in Alejandro’s backing band for an inspired set of songs from his vast catalog. It was a great time and a fantastic evening for a spirited crowd of friends, family, and fellow supporters who were in attendance at the Georgia Theatre.
