Cinema 21 in Portland, Oregon will be the site for a live episode of the podcast Revolutions Per Movie Tuesday, December 5th at 7:00 PM featuring Peter & host Chris Slusarenko.
“Forty years ago, when I wrote my first letter to R.E.M. I never expected a response back, let alone to be friends & a musical collaborator with Peter Buck. Like many R.E.M. fans, the band was ground zero for changing our lives in powerful ways. So, having Peter as part of our first-ever live episode for Revolutions Per Movie will be a full-circle moment.
Revolutions Per Movie is a podcast about music documentaries where guests pick a music film they want to discuss. We will be screening the film R.E.M. By MTV, followed by a live RPM episode with Peter and me talking about his life in music (and we will be taking some questions from the audience, too).
Proceeds for the event will go to the Jeremy Wilson Foundation, which provides physical and mental health services to musicians in the region. In addition, Peter has also kindly autographed some rare R.E.M. memorabilia from my personal collection that I will be giving out that night.
It should be an incredible night, and I hope to see you there.”
