R.E.M. begins an extensive tour of North America and Europe this Friday at Deer Lake Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, where they’ll be joined by special guests Modest Mouse and The National. The summer concerts in support of ACCELERATE mark R.E.M.’s first full-fledged tour since 2004, although the band debuted their new material earlier this year at SXSW, the Langerado Festival, and the Royal Albert Hall.
The North American leg of the tour includes 15 shows and concludes on June 21st in Atlanta at Lakewood Amphitheatre. R.E.M. will begin their tour of Europe in Amsterdam on July 2nd (click HERE for details and ticket information).
