SPOTIFY EUROPE: IT’S HAPPENING TOMORROW

Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, Spotify has had to reschedule their early listening party for R.E.M.’s new record until tomorrow, March 1st, at 9:00 AM GMT. If you are a Spotify premium subscriber in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, please check back tomorrow at that time for the opportunity to hear COLLAPSE INTO NOW.

This just in from our friends at Warner Music Europe:

“Due to a technical fault at Spotify the album pre-stream in the UK, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Finland has been delayed for 24 hours and will go live tomorrow, Tuesday 1st March 2011, at 9am GMT. Our sincerest apologies to fans that were expecting to hear the album today on the Spotify Premium service – we’re working closely with Spotify to ensure they solve this problem in time to go live tomorrow.”

By the way, this does not effect plans for the other scheduled listening parties this week at NPR.org and Rollingstone.com. NPR will host the U.S. online premiere of COLLAPSE INTO NOW tomorrow, March 1st at 2pm EST. Tune into their exclusive stream and hear the album for the first time (please note that this is a one-time stream). And remember, the following day, March 2nd, the record will be featured on NPR’s “First Listen” series. The “First Listen” series is “on demand” and will be available until the album’s release. Rollingstone.com will also host an early listening party on Friday, March 4th. Check Rollingstone.com for more information.
