The Baseball Project Goes Midseason Midwest

Mike Mills once again joins Linda Pitmon, Steve Wynn, and Scott McCaughey for a week of music and America’s Pastime this July, as the band hits some  favorite cities across the heartland.  In Milwaukee they’ll stop by Miller Park to sing the anthem in front of a fun-loving Brewers crowd, before rocking the Anodyne with local stalwarts (and openers on all these club dates) The Wooldridge Brothers.   They’ll visit legendary Fitzgerald’s just outside Chicago, and no doubt take in some nearby Frank Lloyd Wright architecture (“Hey mister, can we have our ball back?”).  Then it’s off to rural Iowa, returning to one of the coolest venues around, that big ol’ barn with its ultra-hospitable R.E.M.-loving hosts.  The Turf Club in St. Paul is always a blast, and the next day you can catch the group playing before and throughout a Twins game at Target Field.   Play ball!
