Scott McCaughey wrote us with the following update on the upcoming shows he and the rest of The Baseball Project will be playing this month. Get out there and support them if you’re in the area!
Hey friends in the New York City metropolitan area —
The Baseball Project — with a full roster featuring Scott, Steve, Linda, plus both Peter Buck AND Mike Mills — will be making appearances in two exquisite if quite different locations, coming soon.
Tues. April 10 – Maxwell’s, Hoboken 8:30 p.m. (with the very rockin’ Lee Baines III & The Glory Fires)
Maxwell’s always seems to bring out the best in the BBP, let’s see if our streak holds.
Fri. April 13 – The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC. An Evening of Baseball History and Music, 7:30 p.m.
The show will start with a panel discussion featuring former Braves great Dale Murphy, Sharon Robinson (daughter of Jackie!), and writers Sean Kirst and William C. Rhoden. The BBP’s performance will immediately follow. Pretty wild, huh? This will indeed be a gala event.
Hope to see you!
-Scott
