ABOUT THE FEATURED GUEST ARTISTS: Long time Peter Buck collaborator Kevn Kinney defined the Americana roots genre long before it ever received that title. His Southern sound has continued to stay relevant regardless of current musical trends. Blake Sennett is a founding member of Rilo Kiley and his side project The Elected are a Los Angeles based indie-pop band. The bands most recent and strongest release to date, Bury Me in My Rings, has been described as “twelve shimmering pop songs reminiscent of mid-century West Coast rock”. Chuck Prophet is a San Francisco based singer songwriter and former member of Americana band Green on Red. He has released numerous solo records over the last 20 years that have covered a wide range of musical ground, a unique sound that can possibly described as twisted folk-country-rock. Chuck’s new album Temple Beautiful is set to release in February 2012. Fernando Viciconte is an Argentinean born singer songwriter currently based in Portland, Oregon. Fernando combines incisively melodic songwriting and edgy rock with a passionate vocal twang, a kind of South of the border inflected roots rock sound. Fernando is currently in the studio working on his 8th album, which will feature Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey on a variety of tracks.
