Tunes & Thoughts II featuring Life the Griot and JD Bertis (Nov. 30) @ Foundry

Tunes & Thoughts is one unique way for Athens to celebrate its diversity through music and friendship. Two friends sharing some tunes and thoughts— a song-for-song swapping of music and attempts to surprise each other, and maybe the audience too. As the country struggles to mend its racial division, Tunes & Thoughts helps us recognize our similarities while embracing our differences through the universal language of music.

The event takes place on November 30 at 7:00 PM at the Foundry.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the local nonprofit, Chess and Community, and its upcoming fourth annual conference to be held January 9, 2016, at UGA’s Tate Center, bringing together hundreds of young chess enthusiasts and including a unique social action essay contest for Athens high school students. Tonight’s event is Free and All ages are welcome – Donations will be accepted at the event
