Athens’ Lyndon House Arts Center has an exhibit running through August 6th called “Headspinning: Inspiration from the Canvas to the Album Cover” which showcases some of the amazing art and album covers that have come out of Athens since 1980. The exhibit includes work by R.E.M.’s art man Chris Bilheimer as well as a section devoted to “Murmur” with the original Sandra Lee Phipps trestle photo and contact shots of the band. Marquee, Athens’ Arts and Entertainment Weekly, has an article on Headspinning which you can read by visiting their website.
