The big news from camp R.E.M. over the weekend is the official launch of the R.E.M. iPhone app, an absolute must for all iPhone-carrying-R.E.M. fans and, we might add, one that is absolutely FREE. What a great deal and what a great phone app, if we don’t mind saying so ourselves.

This week’s From The Top, the NPR program devoted to performances by and interviews with young classical musicians, features a special interpretation of R.E.M.’s “World Leader Pretend” by host Christopher O’Riley.
