As we reported last week, Mike will play at the Alex Chilton memorial show at Levitt Bandshell in Overton Park, Memphis Saturday, May 15th. The show is a tribute to the late Big Star frontman whose untimely passing from a heart attack on March 17th left a giant void in the musical cosmos. Big Star’s Jody Stephens, Ken Stringfellow, and Jon Auer will be joined by special guests in addition to Mike including Brendan Benson, Sondre Lerche and original Big Star bassist Andy Hummel.
