Join Peter and Scott McCaughey for a musical weekend in Southern California, as they play a free outdoor concert with Alejandro Escovedo 8 p.m. Saturday July 29, at Burton Chace Park in Marina Del Rey.
Then on Sunday July 30, the guys (along with Linda Pitmon and Kurt Bloch) will morph into THE MINUS 5 to for an evening at the legendary McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. Besides songs from the Minus 5’s extensive catalog, there will likely be a few cuts from Peter’s solo records and no doubt some well-chosen covers, as the spirit moves them. And you never know what guests might drop by (the band doesn’t always know either!). Look for an already-completed new Minus 5 album this fall.
And look for Peter, Scott, Kurt and Linda on the road in August and September with Corin Tucker, as FILTHY FRIENDS.
