PETER CHECKS IN

Hey y’all, I’m in the middle of a pile of guitars and clothes, preparing for the next four months of my peripatetic life, but I wanted to inform everyone about what’s happening,

As you know, the Todos Santos Music Festival is on this year, and we’ve got a lot of great new bands: Drive-By Truckers, The Jayhawks, Santa Cecilia, Conor Oberst, Old 97s, Nortec Collective M. Ward, Autumn Defense, Dawes, and a lot of the usual suspects, including Scott McCaughey, Steve Wynn, Joseph Arthur, Chuck Prophet, Kevn Kinney and me. There is a link here–it will be a great time.

I’m packing for my tour with Alejandro Escovedo with my band opening and backing up Al; more info here. See you there, and finally, I have a new record out: a four-song seven-inch e.p. called Opium Drivel. It’s available through Little Axe Records as well as the usual groovy independent retailers. Get out of the house, walk to the nearest record store, and buy a couple. After all, Halloween is upon us, and what child doesn’t like demented middle-aged rock ‘n’ roll? I’ve gotta run, but I have a final question: clothing-wise… solid colored shirts or floral?
