On November 25, 2008, the two-CD 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Murmur will be released on Universal. The two-CD set features R.E.M.’s debut album, remastered, plus an additional disc with a previously unreleased concert recorded at Larryâs Hideaway in Toronto, three months after Murmurâs April 1983 release.

R.E.M. will have three songs available for download on the new Guitar Hero video game, Rock Band World Tour, out on October 26th. The track pack features three rockers from ACCELERATE: “Horse to Water”; “Man-Sized Wreath”; and “Supernatural Superserious.”

It’s hard to believe it, but the band’s European tour, which began back on July 2nd in Amsterdam, comes to a close Sunday following two shows in Spain this week and weekend shows in Istanbul, Turkey, and Athens, Greece. The first of the tour’s final four stops is Murcia,
