R.E.M. GEAR UP FOR SPANISH WEEKEND!


After Wednesday night’s summer tour opener in Granada, in which the band kicked off the concert with jaw-dropper/show stopper “Leave” from “New Adventures in Hi-Fi” for the first time ever, R.E.M stands poised for a big weekend in Spain with shows coming up in Torrevieja, Zaragoza, and Gijon.

The band just completed their first show of the Summer Tour tonight in Granada including the first ever live performance of Leave and the first since 1995 of Me in Honey. By all accounts it was a great show and the guys are excited to be back on stage.

R.E.M celebrated their 25th anniversary yesterday in Australia during a day off in Adelaide. The celebration included dinner, toasts, and a lot of reminiscences about the night when it all started back on April 5th, 1980, at a birthday party in Athens, Georgia.
