PETER JOINS FRIPP & RIEFLIN TONIGHT IN SEATTLE FOR A NIGHT OF IMPROV


Peter has been recording tracks for a potential album with Bill Rieflin and Robert Fripp in Seattle at Jupiter Studios. HQ received photos and an update today from Brian Orloff who describes the music as “Sonic Architecture…very spacey and atmospheric.”

R.E.M. PLAY SURPRISE SHOW IN ATHENS!

R.E.M. NOMINATED FOR UK FESTIVAL AWARD


R.E.M has received a nomination for the Best Festival Headliner in this year’s UK Festival Awards. The awards, initially launched in October 2004, will be voted for online by the general public here over a three week period from Monday, October 17th through November 7th.

MICHAEL JOINS COLDPLAY IN ATLANTA


Michael joined Chris Martin of Coldplay on stage in Atlanta last night during the UK band’s performance at Phillip’s Arena. The duo performed R.E.M.’s Nightswimming in front of a packed audience who gave Michael a rousing reception before and after the song.
